New risk and clearing culture around the corner?

Press releases - 2015.04.20

In this video interview, Patrick L Young discusses the need for real-time clearing and risk management for clearinghouses.

This need is illustrated by comparing older CCPs and clearinghouses to submarines whose periscopes are raised a few times a day to survey their surroundings. Periodic information gathering, however, is not enough for investors, traders, and brokers who need real-time metrics for monitoring, clearing, and settling.

While the methods used by clearinghouses and CCPs have served the industry well in the past, it is time for these entities to join the rest of the industry by stepping into the digital real-time world.
