Cinnober-powered Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX) receives FOW awards for Best Technology Innovation by an Exchange and Emerging Exchange of the Year
On September 26 at a gala dinner in Singapore, DGCX received the prestigious awards Best Technology Innovation by an Exchange and Emerging Exchange of the Year in Futures & Options World’s (FOW’s) Awards for Asia, recognizing the best of the Asian derivatives industry.
In March this year, DGCX launched an entirely new exchange infrastructure called the EOS Platform with trading, clearing and surveillance technology from Cinnober. With the EOS Platform in place DGCX is the first exchange in the region and one of few globally to offer integrated trading and clearing with real-time risk management. Six months after the launch of the EOS Platform, year-to-date trading volumes were up 80% over the previous year.
“We give DGCX our warmest congratulations for these well-earned honors,” says Veronica Augustsson, CEO of Cinnober. “The EOS Platform is built on Cinnober’s innovative and flexible TRADExpress technology, providing a world-class exchange and clearing infrastructure. DGCX has taken the lead position in the region with high-speed, integrated trading and clearing with real time risk management. We are proud to be a part of their continued success story and look forward to a long and continued positive partnership.”
The EOS Platform, based on Cinnober’s TRADExpress technology, is designed to support DGCX’s members’ increasingly sophisticated trading and clearing requirements. It provides DGCX’s growing member community with superior transaction speed, more efficient means to access liquidity, higher reliability, enhanced trading and clearing flexibility and global connectivity. The new platform provides low latency network access, world-class risk-management, surveillance and clearing capabilities.
