Christina Jacobsson, Head of Human Resources at Cinnober, has been nominated for the award “Innovator of the Year in employer branding towards students”. The motivation states:
“This company has strengthened its employer brand impressively in recent years. With great intuition in its choice of ambassadors, it has succeeded in demonstrating the opportunities that the company can offer talented individuals. In particular, Cinnober’s HR Manager, Christina Jacobsson, has been of crucial importance.”
“Cinnober is an innovative knowledge-based company pervaded by considerable entrepreneurial spirit,” says the company’s CEO, Veronica Augustsson. “We nurture our employees and work hard to attract talented new people. Christina’s thorough knowledge and commitment have brought further focus to the development of our employer branding efforts. This autumn, for example, we have initiated a one-year trainee program in financial IT.”
A decisive criterion for being nominated to this category of the Innovator of the Year award is that nominees “think in new ways and implement new and innovative ideas related to employer branding within their organizations.”
In its selection, the jury has also taken into account additional aspects, such as interest in and commitment to employer branding issues, as well as how well nominees have contributed to the commitment of their management teams to those issues. Also considered is the extent to which the company markets/communicates its employer brand in an innovative and credible way, and the degree to which the company’s employer branding activities have led to results in surveys by Universum and others.
This is the 13th consecutive year that global employer branding and research company Universum has arranged the event. The jury consists of the company’s CEO, Petter Nylander; Country Manager for Sweden, Claes Peyron; and Global research director, Lisa Sundström.
“Naturally I feel very honored and encouraged by the nomination,” says Christina Jacobsson. “But of course it’s fundamentally a case of genuine teamwork. At Cinnober, we continuously focus on staying at the cutting edge in finding new and efficient ways of being visible. This shows that we are on the right path and that what we are doing is noticed and well-received by the target group.”
Six other people have been nominated in the category: Ann Ericsson – Skanska, Erik Ringertz – Netlight, Fredrik Bromander – Condesign, Magdalena Gerger – Systembolaget, Nils Normark – Outokumpu and Pontus Johansson – IKEA.
The winner will be presented at the Universum Awards on March 6, 2014.
