Cinnober is the main sponsor when Sweden's sharpest developers compete in the Swedish Programming Championships. The competition is part of the Nordic championships and is open to all.
The event, held on October 5 at eight different locations around the country, is a team event being organized for the 18th time.
Each team consists of three people, who have five hours to contend with dozens of tricky problems. The team to solve the most challenges wins.
“As a leading provider of financial technology, programming and technology development is naturally of central importance for us,” says Cinnober's CEO Veronica Augustsson. “By sponsoring a championship event of this calibre, we want to encourage talented individuals and established professionals to demonstrate the extraordinary level that Sweden has reached in programming and systems engineering”.
Teams consisting entirely of students also compete in the International Collegiate Programming Contest and thus have the opportunity to win a place in the regional finals in the Netherlands. From there, at least one team goes on to the world finals in Russia.
