Guldmusen (the Golden Mouse) is Sweden’s leading IT-award, organized by the newspapers Computer Sweden and Affärsvärlden.
The award is given to a successful Swedish company within the IT sector. The company should have had a positive development during the year and conduct its own product development as well as having made a mark in the business.
Cinnober is considered a natural candidate for this award as the company can look back on ten years of continuous growth and remarkably successful solutions. The latest achievements have been the successful launches of Turquoise, the pan-European equity trading platform in September and the Alpha Groups Alternative Trading System in Canada in November.
Noteworthy are also the upgrade of the system delivered to the London Metal Exchange, which has increased its number of trades 30 times since its launch and the delivery of a significant expansion to Liffe. As a result, Liffe is the first exchange in the world to handle the processing and clearing of credit default swaps (CDS), through their award-winning Bclear service.
The spring will be as eventful since a number of prestigious clients placed their orders with Cinnober during the autumn, such as Burgundy, the new trading facility for listed Nordic securities, Quadriserv’s AQS securities lending platform and Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange.
Jan Arpi, CEO at Cinnober, sees only opportunities in the future: “We will be able to develop the company’s offerings further as we start to look into risk management, market surveillance and clearing.”
Guldmusen has been awarded to Swedish companies for over ten years. This year’s winner will be announced on February 17.
