Cinnober Signs Contract with Borsa Italiana S.p.A.
Cinnober has entered into an agreement with Borsa Italiana S.p.A. for the delivery of the new DDM-Plus – a high performance data dissemination system.
DDM-Plus makes real-time financial information, primarily from the Italian financial markets, available to information providers, market participants and other financial institutions.
Any market participant can connect to DDM-Plus in order to feed the data straight into their own applications. The information is also distributed worldwide through information vendors. In addition to extended functionality, DDM-Plus offers substantial increase in performance and speed in data distribution from source to recipient.
Users of DDM-Plus subscribe to real-time financial data such as price and trade execution information. The information is primarily available via a message based protocol interface. Different levels and views of information can be setup based on the agreement with each user.
DDM-Plus also enables a FAST interface. FAST stands for FIX Adopted for Streaming and is a new standard for message encoding developed by FPL (FIX Protocol Ltd.) for efficient market information flows.
DDM-Plus is based on Cinnober’s fully scalable, high performance TRADExpress Platform powering several leading marketplaces.
