As a programmer and technical project manager, Christian appreciates the cooperative flavour of working at Cinnober. “We work in two highly complex areas, finance and technology. No one really grasps it all, so you can’t get very far on your own. Everyone knows that. You’re expected to find the right person and ask the right questions. It’s easy to get help,” he says.
The openness for questions and willingness to experiment also extends to the customer – along with a certain humbleness. “No one would think of giving an off-hand answer to a customer, just for the prestige of appearing to know the answer. We may start a small investigation around a customer inquiry before the answer trickles back to the customer,” he says.
Like many of his colleagues, Christian enjoys the close teamwork where everyone fills in as needed. “In practice, there is a business team and a technical team for each customer, but we’re all on the same team,” he adds.
